Terms & Conditions – Raffle and Win a Car

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Raffle and Win a Car competition (“the Raffle”).

1.2 By purchasing a ticket, you (“the Participant”) agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1.3 The Raffle is organised and operated by Raffle and Win a Car, registered in South Africa.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Participants must be 18 years or older to enter.

2.2 The Raffle is open only to residents of South Africa with a valid South African identity document.

2.3 Employees, directors, or agents of the organiser, as well as their immediate families, are not eligible to participate.

2.4 The organiser reserves the right to request proof of age and identity before awarding the Prize.

3. Ticket Purchase

3.1 Each raffle ticket costs R10.

3.2 Tickets are available for purchase through authorised sales channels only.

3.3 Tickets are valid only when full payment has been received and confirmed.

3.4 Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or resold.

3.5 Ticket purchases are final and cannot be cancelled, except as provided under Clause 7 (Refunds).

4. Allocation of Proceeds

4.1 Proceeds from the Raffle will be allocated as follows:

50% of total ticket sales GP will be donated to a registered children’s charity.

50% will be applied towards the Prize, raffle administration, and operational costs.

4.2 A financial report may be made available upon request to ensure transparency.

5. Prize

5.1 The prize is a motor vehicle valued at R350,000 (“the Prize”).

5.2 The exact make, model, and specifications of the vehicle will be published on the official raffle platform.

5.3 The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and may not be redeemed for cash.

5.4 The winner is responsible for all costs associated with licensing, registration, insurance, and ongoing ownership of the vehicle, unless otherwise stated.

5.5 The organiser will not be liable for any defect in the Prize once delivered to the winner.

6. Raffle Draw & Winner Selection

6.1 The raffle draw will take place on [insert date or draw condition, e.g. "the last day of each month"].

6.2 The draw will be conducted fairly and transparently using an independent randomised system.

6.3 A single winner will be selected for each raffle cycle.

6.4 The winner will be notified within 7 days of the draw by telephone, email, and/or official announcement.

6.5 If the winner cannot be reached within 14 days, the organiser reserves the right to select another winner.

6.6 The winner may be required to provide proof of identity before the Prize is awarded.

7. Refunds & Minimum Ticket Sales

7.1 The raffle will only proceed if a minimum number of tickets sufficient to cover the Prize value and charitable donation is sold.

7.2 If insufficient tickets are sold, the organiser will cancel the raffle.

7.3 In such an event, each Participant will receive a refund of R7 per R10 ticket purchased.

7.4 The remaining R3 per ticket will be retained by the organiser to cover administration, banking, and operational costs.

7.5 Refunds will be processed within 30 business days of cancellation.

8. Publicity

8.1 By entering the raffle, Participants consent to the use of their name, image, and/or likeness for promotional and marketing purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

8.2 The organiser agrees to handle all personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

9. General Conditions

9.1 The organiser reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the raffle in the event of unforeseen circumstances, subject to applicable laws.

9.2 The organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the raffle is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

9.3 The organiser accepts no responsibility for lost, delayed, incomplete, or invalid entries due to technical or communication failures.

9.4 The organiser shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in the raffle or use of the Prize, except where required by law.

10. Legal Compliance

10.1 This raffle is conducted in accordance with the relevant laws of South Africa, including but not limited to regulations governing promotional competitions and charitable fundraising.

10.2 Participants are responsible for ensuring their participation does not contravene any applicable local laws.

10.3 Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be governed by South African law and subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
